Our floor coating crew works under the MK Concrete Coatings name. Same company, a crew that does nothing but floors, and a system built for Illinois garages.

The system

Diamond grinding to open the concrete, never acid etching
Crack and pit repair before any coating goes down
A moisture vapor barrier epoxy base, the step one-day installers skip
Flake broadcast into the wet base to full refusal, then scraped flat
A polyaspartic top coat that resists hot tires, salt and UV
A 10-year written workmanship warranty

Cure times

Foot traffic after 24 hours, vehicles after 72. We do not sell one-day floors because the vapor barrier is the reason the floor lasts, and it needs the time.

Pricing

Flake floors run $8.50 per square foot with a $2,000 minimum. Published ranges by garage size, flake colors and the full warranty are on the MK site.

FAQ

Questions about floor coatings

Why is MK a different name?

It is our floor coating brand with its own crew and its own site. ONIT Solutions Inc is the company behind it.

Can I park on it the next day?

No. Foot traffic after 24 hours, vehicles after 72. The vapor barrier needs that time, and it is the reason the floor lasts.

What does a two-car garage cost?

Most run $3,400 to $4,100 installed at $8.50 per square foot. The MK site publishes the full range by garage size.
