Get a Plainfield garage floor that holds up to winter brine and hot tires, with the slab ground and sealed properly before a single flake goes down.
Our MK Concrete Coatings crew installs polyaspartic flake floors in garages, basements and shops. The work starts with a diamond grinder, never acid, so the coating has clean, open concrete to grab. We fill cracks and pits, roll on a moisture vapor barrier epoxy base, and broadcast flake into it while it is still wet until it will not take any more. After it cures we scrape it, clean it and finish with a polyaspartic top coat that stands up to hot tires, road salt and sun.
Plainfield is on our regular route, from Route 59 and Route 126 out to Caton Farm Road and 127th Street. Garages here take road salt and brine all winter, and whatever drips off the car sits on the slab until spring. Bare concrete soaks that up, and over a few seasons the surface starts to scale and pit. A sealed flake floor keeps the salt on top, where you can push it out the door with a squeegee.

We grind the whole slab with diamond tooling to open the surface. We never acid etch.
Cracks, pits and scaled spots get filled and ground flush before any coating goes on.
An epoxy base that blocks moisture coming up through the slab, the layer that keeps the coating bonded.
We broadcast flake into the wet base until it will not hold another chip, so no bare base shows.
Once the base cures we scrape off loose and standing chips and vacuum the floor.
A clear top coat that resists hot tire pickup, road salt and yellowing from the sun.
We come out for a free estimate, measure the floor, look at every crack and bring cured flake samples so you can pick a color in your own garage light. You get a written scope priced at $8.50 per square foot, with a $2,000 minimum. If grinding opens up damage nobody could see, we show you and price the repair in writing before we do it. We book the install days with you, and when the top coat is down we walk the floor with you and go over the cure times.
