Park on a garage floor that holds up to hot tires in July and salt slush in January. Homer Glen is on our regular route for flake floor coatings.
Our MK Concrete Coatings crew installs every flake floor we sell, from the grinder to the top coat. We diamond grind the slab open, repair the cracks and pits, and roll a moisture vapor barrier epoxy base. Flake goes into that wet base until it will not take any more, then we scrape the surface and seal it with a polyaspartic top coat. That top coat is what stands up to hot tires, road salt and sun through the open door.
We reach Homer Glen on I-355 and work the roads off Route 7, Bell Road, 143rd Street and 159th Street in Will County. If your lot has room for a detached shop or pole barn beside the house, that slab can get the same system as the attached garage. A shop floor takes dropped tools, jack stands and solvent spills, and a thin coating chips under that kind of use. The full flake layer and polyaspartic top give a shop slab a surface you can roll a creeper across and wipe down.

We grind the slab with diamond tooling to open the surface so the base can bite. We never acid etch.
Cracks, pits and chipped spots get filled and ground flush before any coating goes down.
An epoxy base holds back moisture rising through the concrete. It is the layer one-day installers leave out.
We broadcast flake into the wet base until the surface will not accept another chip.
Once the base cures, we scrape off loose and raised flake so the top coat lays down even.
The final coat resists hot tires, road salt and UV, which matters on the strip of floor by the open door.
We come out for a free estimate, measure the slab and set cured flake samples on your floor so you can pick a color in your own light. You get a written scope with the square footage at $8.50 per square foot, with a $2,000 minimum. If the grind opens up a crack deeper than it looked, we price the repair in writing and wait for your yes before we fix it. We book around the days we said, then walk the finished floor with you.
