Get a bathroom rebuilt from the studs out, with a shower that stays dry behind the tile. Homer Glen is on our regular route.
A bathroom remodel with us covers the whole room: demo, plumbing and electrical changes, waterproofing, tile, the vanity and toilet, the fan, drywall and paint. One crew does all of it, so you are not lining up a plumber, an electrician and a tile setter on separate calendars. Before any work starts you get a written estimate that lists what is coming out and what is going in. If we open a wall and find rot or a bad drain, we stop, price the fix in writing, and wait for your yes.
We reach Homer Glen up I-355 and work the streets off 143rd Street, 159th Street, Bell Road and Route 7, on the village side and the unincorporated Will County side alike. Where a Homer Glen house has two or three bathrooms, we usually remodel one at a time so the family always has a working shower. That order also lets you live with the first finished room before you pick tile for the next one. When the bathrooms are spread across two floors, we plan the plumbing work so the water is off for as few hours as possible.

We remove the old tub, move or resize the drain as needed, and build a shower floor sloped to the drain.
A continuous membrane goes on the shower walls and floor and gets a water test before any tile is set. Tile and grout are the finish, not the waterproof layer.
We set the new vanity, connect the sink and faucet, and fit new shutoff valves and supply lines.
The flange gets checked and replaced if it is cracked, and the toilet goes down level on a sound subfloor.
The fan vents through the roof or a side wall, never into the attic, where the moisture would soak the insulation.
Moisture-resistant board goes up where code calls for it, then gets finished, primed and painted, with new trim to close it out.
We start with a free visit to measure the room, look at the plumbing below it, and hear what you want to change. You get a written scope and estimate that spells out the shower, the fixtures and who supplies the tile. Once your materials are in, we put the start date on the calendar, and a full bath usually runs two to three weeks from there. Any change you ask for, or anything we find inside a wall, is priced on paper before we do it, and at the end we walk the room with you and run every fixture.
