Bathroom Remodeling

Bathrooms are the most involved room per square foot in the house: plumbing, electrical, tile, ventilation and waterproofing all in a few square feet. It is also the room where a shortcut shows up fastest, usually as a leak you find out about from the ceiling below.

What we do

• Tub to shower conversions and walk-in showers
• Tile floors and walls, with proper waterproofing behind them
• Vanities, counters, sinks, faucets and toilets
• Exhaust fans vented outside, not into the attic
• Lighting, outlets and the GFCI protection code requires
• Drywall, trim and paint to finish

Waterproofing is the job

Tile is not waterproof. The layer behind it is, and that layer is what we spend the time on. Showers get a continuous waterproofing membrane, sloped correctly to the drain, tested before the tile goes on.

Half baths and powder rooms

Often a one-week job: new vanity, toilet, floor, lighting, paint. A good first project if you want to see how we work before taking on the master bath.
