Find out at the estimate whether your Villa Park cabinets are a good fit for paint, then get a hard sprayed finish if they are. We refinish wood and previously painted cabinets in kitchens and baths.
We refinish cabinets by painting them in place, after taking the doors and drawer fronts off and labeling them. The hardware goes into marked bags, and every surface gets cleaned, degreased, scuff-sanded and filled. Bonding primer comes next, and a cabinet-grade enamel is sprayed over it for a smooth, hard finish. The boxes and frames are painted where they sit, with the kitchen masked off around them.
Villa Park is on our regular route, reached on Route 83 and North Avenue, with St. Charles Road and Roosevelt Road getting us to your street. Not every cabinet surface takes paint the same way, so we look closely at yours. If your cabinets are solid wood or wood that was painted before, they are usually good candidates. If they are wrapped in a plastic film that is peeling at the corners, paint over it will fail, and we say that at the estimate instead of after the job.

We look at what your cabinets are made of and what finish is on them before we price anything.
Each door and drawer front is marked to its opening and removed for spraying.
Hinges, pulls and screws stay together in marked bags until the doors go back up.
Grease and film are cleaned off, then the surface is scuff-sanded so primer can bond.
Dings and chips are filled, then a bonding primer goes on over the whole surface.
A cabinet-grade enamel is sprayed for an even, hard finish on doors, fronts and boxes.
We start by checking what your cabinets are made of, then tell you whether paint will hold on them. If it will, you get a written estimate with every cabinet, the door and front count, the color, the sheen and the prep. Anything that changes once the doors are off is priced in writing and waits for your okay. We tell you how many days the kitchen will be partly out of use, and we close with a walkthrough of each door and drawer.
