Your Villa Park basement gets a floor that holds up on concrete, because we test the slab and fix the moisture before any flooring goes down.
We finish basements in the order that keeps them dry: moisture check and any drainage or sump work, then framing on treated bottom plates, then insulation and rough-in. Electrical goes in to code, and plumbing goes in if you want a bath or a wet bar. After inspection, we close it in with drywall and ceilings and finish with flooring, doors, trim and paint. A bedroom needs a code egress window, and we include that in the scope when one is planned.
Villa Park is on our regular route, and the crew gets there on Route 83, St. Charles Road, Roosevelt Road and North Avenue. The village sits in DuPage County between Lombard and Elmhurst, and the Illinois Prairie Path runs through it. If your basement slab has cracks, or a floor drain with the floor pitched toward it, the flooring plan has to deal with both. We test the slab for moisture, grind or fill the high and low spots, and pick a floor that can handle a damp day, like luxury vinyl plank over the right underlayment, instead of carpet laid straight on concrete.

We test the concrete before choosing a floor and fix seepage at the walls or the cove joint first.
High spots get ground and low spots filled so plank flooring lies flat and the joints stay tight.
Luxury vinyl plank, tile or another floor that can take moisture, with base, shoe and transitions included.
Pressure-treated bottom plates, insulated outside walls and framing that keeps the laundry and mechanicals reachable.
Circuits, outlets and lights to code, plus drains and supply lines for a bath or bar.
Drywall and ceilings, interior doors, trim and paint, and an egress window if a bedroom is planned.
Our free visit includes a moisture reading on the slab and a look at the walls, so the estimate is based on the basement you actually have. You get the scope in writing, with flooring, framing and finish work broken out. Anything that changes or turns up mid-job gets a written price, and we do not start it until you approve. We pull the permit, follow the inspection order and walk the finished floor with you at the end.
