Walls that look whole again after water got into a room of your Warrenville home. We replace the damaged strip, finish it flat and leave it ready for baseboard and paint.
When water reaches a finished room, the bottom of the drywall wicks it up and that board has to come out. We snap a level line above the damage, cut out the wet strip and replace it with new board, using moisture-resistant board at the bottom where it makes sense. The joint along the top of the new strip gets taped and feathered wide so you never see the line, then we sand, prime and paint the full wall. The same crew handles everyday repairs too, from holes and cracks to popped screws anywhere in the house.
Warrenville is on our regular route in DuPage County, along I-88, Route 59, Butterfield Road and Winfield Road, with the West Branch of the DuPage River running through town and Fermilab to the west. If your house sits near the river or has a finished lower level, a wet wall is the kind of repair you want done once and done correctly. The drywall goes back only after the framing and bottom plate are dry, because closing a damp wall traps the moisture behind fresh paint. A drying company handles the water itself, and we come in after to rebuild the walls.

Wet board cut out to a level line and new board hung in its place, ready for baseboard.
Used at the bottom of lower-level walls where it fits, so the repair holds up to a damp floor.
The long seam above the new strip taped and feathered wide so it disappears under paint.
Firm board with a water mark sealed with a stain-blocking primer before paint.
Doorknob holes, furniture dings and anchor holes patched anywhere else in the house on the same visit.
The whole wall painted after a long patch so the color and sheen match corner to corner.
We start with a moisture reading on the framing, and if it is still wet we tell you and come back once it has dried. The free written estimate lists the strip to replace, the board we will use and every other spot you want fixed. Anything we find once the wall is open, like a rotted plate or damaged wiring, gets priced in writing and waits for your approval. We book around the days we said, cover the floors, keep the dust behind plastic and walk each wall with you at the end.
