We answer (815) 585-1750 by call or text at all hours. If mold has shown up in your Palatine home, we contain it, clean or remove what it has reached, fix the water source, and rebuild.
Not everything with mold on it has to be torn out. Porous materials like drywall, insulation, carpet and ceiling tile come out, while solid framing and joists can usually be HEPA vacuumed, scrubbed and treated with an antimicrobial. All of it happens inside containment: plastic sheeting around the area, a negative air machine pulling the air in and sending it out of the house, and HEPA air scrubbers filtering what is left. Once it is clean and the water source is fixed, we rebuild what came out.
Palatine is on our regular route up Route 53, and we cover the town from Rand Road and Northwest Highway to Dundee Road, around Harper College and downtown Palatine near the Metra station. If the utility area of your Palatine basement has mold on the joists or the drywall near the water heater, a slow leak from a fitting or supply line is a likely suspect. We fix the leaking fitting or line, and if the tank itself is the problem, we tell you before anything else. Then we clean and treat the framing overhead and replace the drywall and insulation that cannot be saved, and the estimate spells out which is which.

Plastic sheeting sealed around the utility area or room, with a zipper door for access.
It draws air into the work area and exhausts it outside while we work.
They filter the air in containment through removal and cleaning.
Drywall, insulation, carpet and ceiling tile the mold reached, cut out and bagged.
Joists and studs HEPA vacuumed, scrubbed and treated with an antimicrobial instead of torn out.
The leaking fitting or line fixed, an independent tester recommended for clearance, then drywall and insulation replaced.
We come out, look at what is affected, and put a free estimate in writing before work begins, with the equipment daily rates on the same page. The estimate says what we plan to clean in place and what has to come out. If something changes once we open up, you get a written price for it and decide before we continue. We finish with a walkthrough and send you copies of the photos and readings.
Call or text (815) 585-1750, day or night. A photo of the area and the tank label helps.
