Lombard, DuPage County

Interior Painting in Lombard

Smooth walls under the new color, with no popped screws or corner cracks showing through. We prep and paint Lombard interiors one room or the whole house.

Lombard interior painting with the drywall prep done

New paint makes the flaws in a wall easier to see, not harder, so prep is where we spend most of the job. Popped screws get driven back and a new screw goes in beside each one before the spot is filled. Cracks at inside corners and over doors are taped, mudded and sanded, holes are patched, and gaps along trim are caulked. Every repair is spot primed so it does not flash through the finish, and only then do we roll the coats.

Lombard is on our regular route in DuPage County, in off I-355 and Roosevelt Road, or along St. Charles Road and Main Street past Lilacia Park and the Metra station. If your house is a split-level or a raised ranch, the short stair runs and half walls between levels add corners and edges that take extra cutting in, and we price that time instead of guessing at it. Drywall in any house moves with the seasons, so a corner crack that opens every winter gets tape and compound, not just caulk.

Corner cracks taped

Inside-corner and over-door cracks taped and mudded so they hold through winter and summer.

Patches that disappear

Holes and dents filled, sanded flush and spot primed so they do not shine through the finish.

Half walls and short stairs

The extra edges and corners in split-level layouts cut in by hand and priced on the walkthrough.

Trim gaps

Open joints between baseboard, casing and wall caulked so the paint line runs straight.

Dust and floors

How we run your Lombard job

The walkthrough is where we mark every crack and nail pop, so the prep is priced from what is really on your walls. You get a written estimate with each room's repairs, products, sheen and number of coats. If a crack turns out to be loose tape that needs replacing, we show you and get your written approval on the price before doing the extra work. We work on the days we scheduled and finish with a walk through every room.

  • Cracks and pops marked on the walkthrough
  • Repairs primed before color
  • Each room's repairs listed in writing
  • Split-level edges priced up front
  • Added work approved before it starts
  • Room-by-room final walk
FAQ

Interior Painting in Lombard: questions

Why do nail pops keep coming back?
A popped fastener has usually lost its grip on the framing. Setting it back and adding a new screw beside it holds the board, and the filled spot stays flat under paint.
Does Lombard need a permit for interior painting?
Repainting does not. If we end up replacing drywall sections or the job grows into other work the village regulates, we check with Lombard and pull the permit where it is required.
How long will my rooms be out of use?
We work room by room and give you the days for each one in the estimate. The rooms we are not working in stay open.
Do you paint in towns near Lombard?
Yes. We also paint interiors in Glen Ellyn, Villa Park, Downers Grove and Addison.
Can I send photos first?
Yes. Text photos of the cracks or the rooms to (815) 585-1750 and we will come to the walkthrough knowing what to look at.
