Water, mold, fire and storm restoration in Lombard

We pick up calls and texts 24/7 and dispatch as fast as we can. Restoration covers every step after a loss: extraction, drying with daily readings, mold or sewage cleanup when it is needed, fire and smoke work, and the rebuild. We move and protect your belongings inside the house so the floors and walls can dry. The estimate is written line by line in the format carriers use, and you get a copy of it.

Lombard is on our regular route by I-355, Roosevelt Road, St. Charles Road and Main Street, from downtown and the Metra station out past Lilacia Park. A washer hose, a dishwasher line or a refrigerator ice maker can leak for hours before anyone sees it, and the water spreads under the flooring instead of across it. If your Lombard home has plank flooring running through several rooms, a leak in the kitchen can reach the hall and living room underneath. We read the subfloor in every connected room, pull flooring only where it has to come up, and dry the subfloor before new flooring goes down.

What a Lombard water job includes

Subfloor readings

Moisture is read under the flooring in every connected room, not just where the water showed up.

Flooring removal

Laminate, vinyl plank, hardwood or carpet that trapped water is pulled where it has to come up.

Under the cabinets

Water under kitchen cabinets is dried by opening the toe-kick or base, and cabinets are replaced when they are ruined.

Daily monitoring

Air movers and dehumidifiers are checked every day, and the readings are logged for you and your carrier.

Line-item estimate

Each square foot of flooring and each foot of base is its own line, in the format carriers use.

Floors put back

New flooring, base, shoe and transitions are installed once the subfloor reads dry.

How a Lombard water job runs

Before setup, you get the daily rate for each machine in writing. We log readings every day and take the equipment out as soon as the subfloor and walls read dry. While that happens we write the rebuild scope, meet your adjuster if they want, and send a supplement if the carrier's scope misses something. Added work is priced in writing and waits for your approval, the rebuild is booked around the days we said, and we finish with a walkthrough.

FAQ

Insurance & Restoration Work in Lombard: questions

What should I do before you get here?
Turn off the supply valve behind the appliance, or the main if you cannot find it and it is safe to reach. Keep off wet floors near outlets and cords, and do not touch anything plugged in that is sitting in water. Move rugs and furniture off the wet floor, take photos before anything moves, and call your insurer to report it.
Will the new floor match the rest of the house?
We write the rebuild to match what was there. If the original flooring is no longer made, we show you the closest options and explain how that is usually raised with your adjuster, but the carrier decides what it covers.
Does a Lombard flooring or kitchen rebuild need a permit?
New flooring alone usually does not. Plumbing, electrical or framing work in the rebuild generally does, so we check with the Village of Lombard and pull the permit where it is required.
How long before I have floors again?
The subfloor has to read dry first, and we check it every day. Once it does and the scope is agreed, we order flooring and set dates, and we book around the days we said. Call or text (815) 585-1750 any time for an update.
Do you cover water damage near Lombard?
Yes, also in Glen Ellyn, Villa Park, Downers Grove and Addison.
