We answer (815) 585-1750 by call or text, 24/7. In Itasca we clean up fire and smoke damage, including fires that start inside a wall, and put the rooms back together.
Our fire work picks up where the fire department leaves off. We remove the burned and water-soaked materials, clean soot from the surfaces that can stay and run HEPA air scrubbers through the cleanup. Smoke odor is controlled by pulling the porous materials that hold it and sealing the framing that remains. The water from the hoses gets extracted and dried with daily moisture readings, and then we rebuild.
Itasca is on our regular route, off I-290 and Route 53, with Irving Park Road and Thorndale Avenue taking us across town in DuPage County. When a fire starts inside a wall, from wiring or an outlet, the visible damage can be the least of it. We open the wall past the scorch marks until we reach clean framing, cut out or reinforce any studs that charred, and replace the wiring the fire touched. That electrical work gets permitted and inspected before the drywall goes back on.

We remove drywall past the scorch marks until we reach framing the fire never touched.
Studs and plates that burned get cut out or reinforced with new lumber.
Damaged wiring and boxes are replaced, with the permit and inspection where Itasca requires them.
We clean the surfaces around the fire so they can be primed and painted, not just covered.
HEPA scrubbers run during the work, and the framing that stays is sealed with an odor-blocking primer.
Insulation, drywall, trim and paint are finished to match the rest of the room.
We see the damage in person, photograph it and write the estimate line by line in the format insurance carriers use. Since a wall fire hides most of its damage, we tell you up front that the scope may grow once the wall is open, and anything new is priced in writing for your approval first. Daily equipment rates are in writing before setup. We book the rebuild around the inspection dates and finish with a walkthrough.
Call or text (815) 585-1750 once the fire department clears the house. We will walk it and tell you where the work starts.
