Doorknob holes, popped seams and dinged corners in your La Grange Park house get patched flat and painted to match, with the dust kept in the room.
Drywall repair means cutting the damage back to solid board, setting a new piece or a backed patch, and building the joint up in three coats of compound feathered wide. We sand between coats with the doorway sealed off, then prime so the patch takes paint the same way the wall around it does. If the wall has a texture, we match it before the paint goes on. You get a written estimate before any of it starts.
La Grange Park is on our regular route, reached off I-294 by way of 31st Street, Ogden Avenue and La Grange Road. It is a Cook County village that sits against La Grange and Western Springs. One of the most familiar drywall repairs in any house is the round hole behind a door that swings without a stop. Patching that hole alone only sets up the next one, so we can put a stop on the door at the same visit.

We cut the hole square, put backing behind it, then tape and feather it out in three coats.
A baseboard or hinge-pin stop goes on while we are there, so the knob never reaches the wall again.
Lifted tape gets cut out, the joint is re-taped and coated, and inside corners get a fresh crisp line.
We set a new screw beside the popped one, sink or pull the old fastener, and coat over both.
Patches get primed and painted, and if a touch-up would flash, we paint the wall corner to corner.
Plastic goes up at the doorway, floors get covered, and we vacuum before we leave.
We come out, look at every spot you want fixed and put each one on the written estimate with what we plan to do to it. If cutting into a wall shows wet board, a loose wire or a soft stud, we stop, show you, and price that fix in writing before going further. Compound needs to dry between coats, so we set the visits on the calendar up front and book around the days we said. On the last visit we walk the room with you and look at each patch under the light.
