New walls in your La Grange Park addition or remodel that look like they were always there, with no seam lines once the paint goes on. We tape, coat and sand the board and leave it ready for paint.
Hanging drywall gets a room closed in, and taping and finishing decides whether the walls look finished or just covered. We bed paper tape in the flat seams and inside corners, set corner bead on every outside corner, then put on three coats of compound, each one wider than the last. Every coat is sanded before the next one goes on, and the last pass is checked with a work light held flat to the wall so ridges show up before paint does. Most painted walls get a level 4 finish, and we tell you plainly when a wall needs more.
La Grange Park is on our regular route. We come in off I-294 and work the streets between 31st Street, La Grange Road and Ogden Avenue, the same as we do in La Grange next door and the rest of this part of Cook County. Where an addition or a new room ties into the existing house, the hardest seam is the one where new board meets the old wall, because the two surfaces rarely sit flush. We shim, float or skim that joint out wide so the change in plane disappears instead of showing as a line down the corner.

Flat joints and inside corners taped with paper bedded in compound and pressed flat with no air under it.
Corner bead set straight and plumb on every outside corner, then coated so the edge stays crisp.
A tape coat, a fill coat and a finish coat, each spread wider so the seam blends into the face of the board.
The joint where addition board meets an existing wall floated out wide until the change in plane is gone.
Every coat sanded smooth before the next, with the floor covered and the dust kept to the work area.
The finished walls checked under a work light and left ready for primer and paint.
We walk the rooms with you, look at how the board was hung and leave a free written estimate that spells out the finish level for each wall. If we find a problem before taping, like loose screws or a gap that needs filling, we price the fix in writing and wait for your yes. Compound has to dry between coats, so the job runs over several visits, and we book around the days we said. On the last day we go over every wall with you under a light before anyone opens a can of paint.
