Repaired walls that read as one even surface after paint, with every patch primed and the color matched. We fix drywall in Western Springs homes and finish each repair through the paint.
Western Springs is on our regular route for drywall repair. That means holes from doorknobs and wall anchors, cracks at seams and corners, popped fasteners, dented corner bead and ceilings damaged by a leak. Each one is cut back to firm board, patched, taped and finished in three coats feathered wide, then sanded behind plastic. The last part decides whether you notice the repair again: primer, then paint chosen to match the wall.
We reach Western Springs on I-294 and Ogden Avenue, with Wolf Road and 55th Street taking us through town in Cook County, including the streets around the Metra station. Paint ages on a wall. Even with the original can on a basement shelf, touch-up on a wall painted years ago tends to show up a little brighter or shinier than the paint around it, which painters call flashing. Primer helps, because bare compound soaks up paint differently than the wall around it. When the sheen or the age still gives the patch away, we paint the wall from corner to corner, and if you do not have the original color, we match it from a chip of the piece we cut out.

If the original paint is gone, we take a chip from the piece we cut out and have the color matched.
Compound gets primed before paint so it does not soak up the finish and show as a dull spot.
When touch-up would flash, we paint the entire wall so it reads as one surface.
Doorknob holes, anchor holes and gouges get a backed patch or new board and three coats.
Seam cracks are re-taped, and popped fasteners are reset before coating.
Stained or cracked ceiling board is replaced, sealed with stain-blocking primer where needed and painted.
We start with a free visit and ask whether you have the original paint, the color name or neither. The estimate states each repair and says plainly whether we touch up the patch or paint the whole wall, so the price reflects the finish you want. Anything we find that changes the scope gets priced in writing and waits for your sign-off. We book around the days we said, and once the paint is dry we look at every repair with you, from across the room and up close.
