Cracks that keep coming back over doors and windows in your Willow Springs home get re-taped and finished so they have a real chance of staying closed.
We fix drywall holes, cracked joints, popped screws, beat-up corners and ceilings stained by an old leak. The damaged area gets cut back to sound board, patched, taped and coated three times with each coat wider than the last, then sanded, primed and painted to match. When a patch would stand out on a painted wall, we tell you and paint the wall instead. You see all of it in a written estimate first.
Willow Springs is on our regular route, reached by I-294, Archer Avenue and Willow Springs Road, with the Des Plaines River and the forest preserves along the way in. It is a Cook County village with Burr Ridge, Lemont and Palos Park close by. Every house moves a little with the seasons, and drywall shows it first at the corners of door and window openings. Smearing caulk or spackle in those cracks only buys a few months, so we cut the crack open, set new tape across it and finish it out wide.

We open the crack, bed new tape across it and feather three coats, which holds much better than filler alone.
Loose tape gets cut back to where it is stuck tight, then the joint is re-taped and coated.
Holes up to a few inches get a backed patch, larger ones get new board fastened to backing, and all are finished the same way.
We drive a fresh screw to pull the board tight, then cover the old and new heads.
With the leak fixed, the stain gets a stain-blocking primer, and sagging board comes down and is replaced.
Each repair is primed and painted, and we paint the full wall when a spot repair would show.
We look at the cracks and holes in person, tell you why they happened when we can see the cause, and write up the repair and the price. If we open a wall and find something worse, like wet insulation, you get that price in writing before we go on. The visits follow the drying time between coats, and we give you those days up front. When the paint is on, we walk through with you and look at every repair.
