Exterior paint that stands up to shade, damp mornings and wooded lots. We paint Willow Springs homes inside and out, with rotted wood replaced first.
Whether it is a living room or the whole outside of the house, we run a painting job the same way: prep first, paint second. That means scraping and sanding loose paint, filling and caulking, priming bare and repaired areas and masking off glass, hardware and floors. Rotted trim is cut out and replaced with new wood, primed on every side, so the new paint has something sound to stick to. Inside, we move and cover furniture and lay down drop cloths before we start.
Willow Springs is on our regular route, off I-294 and along Archer Avenue and Willow Springs Road. The Des Plaines River and the forest preserves along it put a lot of homes here close to trees, and that shows up on the exterior: shaded walls, leaf litter against the bottom trim, and decks and railings that stay damp. We check the lowest trim boards and stair stringers for soft wood before we price anything. Wood that has been wet for seasons needs to dry out and get replaced, not covered.

Loose paint scraped and feathered, bare wood primed, open seams caulked, then the finish coats we listed.
Spindles, handrails and step risers sanded and painted, with any soft or split pieces replaced first.
Boards near grade and under leaf litter probed for rot and swapped out before they get paint.
Cracks and dings repaired, sanded and primed, then rolled out in an even finish.
Entry, patio and interior doors prepped on every face so the edges do not peel first.
Furniture moved and wrapped, floors and shrubs under drop cloths, and the yard picked up each day.
We walk the property, look at every side of the house and every room on the list, and give you a free written estimate. It names each surface, the prep it needs, the products and the coats. When we pull a trim board and the rot goes deeper than expected, you see it and get a written price before we replace more. Exterior days are booked spring to fall when it is dry and above 50 degrees, and we finish with a walkthrough together.
