Wood siding and trim that sheds water again instead of peeling. We paint Palos Park homes inside and out, with the scraping and priming done right.
On exterior wood, the paint is only as good as the scraping and priming under it. We take off everything loose, sand the edges so they do not telegraph through, prime bare wood with an exterior primer and caulk the seams and nail holes. Any board that is soft gets replaced, because paint over rot just holds the water in. Inside, we cover the furniture and floors and paint walls, ceilings, trim, doors and cabinets with the same prep-first approach.
Palos Park is on our regular route, in along Route 45, 123rd Street and McCarthy Road. The Palos and Sag Valley forest preserves and the wooded lots around them give a lot of homes heavy shade and plenty of leaves in the gutters. Wood siding and trim in that setting dry out slowly, so we set exterior start times for after the morning dew burns off and check moisture before priming. Gutters that overflow onto the fascia are worth clearing before we paint it.

Loose paint scraped, edges sanded smooth, and bare wood primed with exterior primer before two finish coats.
Soft siding, fascia, sills and trim cut out and replaced with primed new stock, not filled and painted.
Gutter-line fascia and soffit panels cleaned, primed where bare and painted to protect the wood behind them.
Window trim, sills and doors caulked and painted, with the glass masked and cleaned up after.
Walls and ceilings patched, sanded and painted, with furniture covered and floors protected.
Woodwork and cabinets degreased, sanded, primed and finished in an enamel built for daily use.
We come out, walk the house and probe the trim, then write a free estimate listing each surface, the prep, the products and how many coats go on. Weather sets the exterior calendar: spring to fall, dry days, above 50 degrees, with start times pushed later when the woods hold the dew. Any rot we find beyond the estimate gets shown to you and priced in writing before we cut it out. When the paint is dry, we walk the house with you for touch-ups.
