Call or text (815) 585-1750 24/7 when a drain or toilet backs up in your Plainfield home, and we take out what the sewage soaked, clean and treat the rest, and put the room back together.
A sewage backup is the dirtiest kind of water a house can take, so the rule for what stays is stricter than it is for a clean-water leak. Carpet, pad, the bottom of the drywall and any insulation the water reached come out and leave the house. Concrete, tile, studs and other hard surfaces get scrubbed and treated with antimicrobial, then dried with air movers and dehumidifiers that we check every day. Once the moisture readings show dry, we rebuild the walls and floors.
Plainfield is on our regular route, and we reach it off Route 59, Route 126 and 127th Street, with I-55 on the east side of town in Will County. If your basement is finished, a backup tends to come up at the floor drain and spread under the carpet before anyone sees it. If there is a bathroom down there, it may run on an ejector pump, and when that pump fails the sewage has nowhere to go but out. We can replace a failed ejector pump as part of the repair, so the new walls do not go back in over a pump that already quit once.

We pull the standing sewage water out so the removal and cleaning can start.
Carpet and pad the backup reached are cut out, bagged and taken away.
The wet lower section of drywall and the insulation behind it come out down to the studs.
Concrete, tile and framing are scrubbed and treated with antimicrobial before drying begins.
If a failed ejector pump caused the backup, we can replace it before the rebuild.
Insulation, drywall, trim, flooring and paint go back in so the basement matches the rest of the house.
We look at the damage and write a free estimate that lists what comes out, what gets cleaned and what goes back. Daily equipment rates are in writing before any drying gear is set up. If we open a wall and find the backup reached further than it looked, we price that in writing and wait for your approval before doing it. Rebuild days go on the calendar once the readings show dry, and we walk the finished room with you at the end.
