Call or text us 24/7 at (815) 585-1750 after a sewage backup in your Joliet house, and we remove what it ruined, treat what it touched and get the space dry and put back.
When sewage comes up through a floor drain or a toilet, the job has three parts: take out what soaked it up, clean what did not, and dry the structure. Carpet, pad, drywall bottoms and insulation go, because they hold onto sewage water. Floors, foundation walls and studs stay, and we scrub them and treat them with antimicrobial before the air movers and dehumidifiers go in. We read the moisture every day, and the rebuild starts when the numbers say dry.
We work in Joliet every week, coming in on I-80 and I-55 and working along Route 30, Route 53, Jefferson Street and Larkin Avenue. If your basement is unfinished, there is less to cut out, but the concrete floor, the walls and the bottom stair treads still need to be scrubbed and treated. Boxes and stored items sitting on the floor take the worst of it, so we move what we can to a dry part of the house and photograph what has to go. Those photos go to you as well as to the insurance company.

We extract the standing water from the floor and the floor drain area first.
Boxes and belongings are moved to a dry room, and anything ruined is photographed for your claim.
Basement floors, foundation walls and stair treads are cleaned and treated with antimicrobial.
Carpet, pad, insulation and the bottom of any drywall the water reached are cut out.
Everything that comes out is bagged and taken out of the house.
Once it reads dry, we put back the drywall, insulation, flooring and trim that had to go.
The free estimate is written before work starts and spells out removal, cleaning, drying and rebuild as separate lines. You see the daily rate for every piece of drying equipment in writing before it is plugged in. If the backup reached somewhere we did not expect, you get a written price for the extra work and decide before we do it. When the readings show dry, we set the rebuild dates and finish with a walkthrough of the space together.
