Our line at (815) 585-1750 takes calls and texts around the clock. When a fire hits a Warrenville house, we take care of the soot, the smoke smell and the water the hoses left behind, then rebuild it.
Most people picture the burn damage, but a house after a fire is also a wet house, because the hoses that put it out soak floors, walls and anything below. We start by pulling out the water and the burned materials, then set air movers and dehumidifiers and take moisture readings every day. While the house dries, soot comes off the surfaces worth saving, and HEPA air scrubbers keep it from drifting into clean rooms. Smoke odor gets handled by removing the porous materials that hold it and sealing what stays. When it reads dry and clean, we rebuild.
Warrenville is on our regular route, off I-88 and Route 59, with Butterfield Road and Winfield Road getting us across town in DuPage County. If the fire was on the main floor of a house with a finished basement, the basement ceiling often ends up holding the water from upstairs. We open that ceiling, dry the joists and the insulation, and check the drywall below the wet line before anything gets closed back up. Fixing the burn and skipping the water underneath is how a rebuild ends up being done twice.

We pull standing water out of floors, carpet and the level below before it spreads.
Dehumidifiers, air movers and wall-cavity drying run until the moisture numbers say the materials are dry.
Burned and soaked drywall, insulation, carpet and pad come out and get hauled off.
We clean soot from walls, ceilings, trim and hard surfaces that do not need to be replaced.
HEPA scrubbers clean the air during the work, and the framing that stays gets an odor-sealing primer.
Drywall, insulation, flooring, trim and paint are replaced to match what the house had before.
First we see the house in person and photograph the damage, room by room and level by level. The written estimate follows the line-by-line format carriers use, and we will meet your adjuster at the house if they want to walk it together. Daily equipment rates are written down before setup, and the equipment comes out as soon as the readings show dry. Anything new we find behind a wall is priced in writing and waits for your OK, and the job ends with a walkthrough.
