Bulkheads boxed square around ductwork and walls framed straight on a basement slab. We do framing and drywall in Wood Dale homes and clean up before the painter shows up.
We frame new walls, closets and soffits, close up openings that no longer make sense, and repair framing damaged by water or a hit. Basement work gets pressure-treated bottom plates anywhere wood meets concrete. Once the framing is straight and plumb, we hang the board, tape the seams and finish it smooth. Sanding dust stays inside plastic at the doorways, and we vacuum and wipe down before we leave.
We cover Wood Dale by Route 83, Irving Park Road, Thorndale Avenue and Wood Dale Road, with the Metra station in the middle of town. In a lot of DuPage County basements, the main duct trunk, a beam or a drain line hangs below the joists, and that is where the framing gets tricky. A bulkhead has to clear the obstruction, stay level across the room and still leave enough headroom to feel like a finished space. We measure all of that before the estimate, so the plan on paper is the one we build.

Soffits are framed level around ducts, beams and drain lines, then boarded with straight corner bead.
Every bottom plate that touches the slab is pressure-treated lumber, fastened down to the concrete.
Shutoffs and cleanouts stay reachable through a framed access panel instead of getting buried in drywall.
Broken or wet studs get cut out and sistered or replaced so the wall is solid before new board goes up.
Rated board goes where code calls for it, like the wall and ceiling shared with an attached garage.
Seams and fasteners get three coats of compound, sanded smooth and left clean for primer.
We measure on site and give you a written estimate with the layout, the board type, the finish level and how we will protect the rest of the house. Anything we uncover that changes the job, such as a damp spot on the foundation or framing that needs repair, gets priced in writing, and you approve it before we proceed. We pull a city permit for basement work that needs one and schedule the inspections. Finishing spans several visits for drying, and we close with a walkthrough.
