Find out whether your Wood Dale cabinets are worth painting before you spend anything on them, and get a straight answer if they are not. When the boxes are sound, we paint them in a finish that wipes clean.
Refinishing means painting your existing cabinets rather than ripping them out, and it works when the boxes underneath are solid. We remove and label the doors and drawer fronts, bag the hardware, and clean every surface with a degreaser. After a scuff-sand and filling, we lay down a bonding primer and spray a cabinet-grade enamel for an even finish. The frames and boxes are painted in place with the kitchen masked off around them.
Wood Dale is on our regular route, and we come in on Route 83, Irving Park Road, Thorndale Avenue and Wood Dale Road. Before we price any refinish, we open the sink base and look at the floor of the cabinet, since that is where a slow drip or an old leak shows up first. If the particleboard is swollen, soft or falling apart, paint will not fix it, and we tell you so. In that case the better answer may be replacing that one cabinet or looking at our kitchen remodeling work, and we lay out both.

We check the floor and back of the sink cabinet for swelling and soft spots before we price the job.
Every door and front is labeled, and the hinges and pulls go into marked bags.
A degreaser takes off the cooking film so primer bonds to the cabinet, not to the grime.
Dents and chips get filled, and the old finish gets a scuff-sand so the primer can grip.
A bonding primer goes under a cabinet-grade enamel sprayed in even coats.
Face frames and end panels are painted where they stand, with counters and floors covered.
We look at the cabinets in person, inside and out, and give you a written estimate along with our honest take on whether refinishing makes sense. If a box needs repair, that repair is priced in writing as its own line, and you decide on it before we start. We tell you how many days the kitchen will be partly out of use and book the work around the days we said. When we are done, we open and close every door with you and fix anything you flag.
If you are not sure your cabinets can be saved, call or text (815) 585-1750. We will open the sink base, give you a straight answer and put it in writing.
