Tape lines, bubbled seams and humped joints that show through the paint in your Joliet home can be fixed. We cut out the failures, re-tape and refinish until the wall paints out flat.
Some of the finishing we do is fixing someone else's work: seams you can see across the room, tape that blistered, corner bead with a wavy edge. That fix starts with cutting out any loose or bubbled tape, because coating over it only buries the problem. We re-bed new tape, then build the joint back with three coats spread wider than the first job ever went. For new board on an addition or a remodel, we run the same three-coat process from the start.
Joliet is on our regular route, off I-80 and I-55, with Route 30, Route 53, Jefferson Street and Larkin Avenue taking us across town on both sides of the Des Plaines River. It is a big city with a wide spread of house styles, so the walls we finish range from fresh basement board to a new wall set into an older room. If your Joliet house went through a flip or a rushed remodel, the seams are often the first thing to give it away, under a ceiling light or beside a window. We look in the light where the flaw shows worst and tell you whether it needs spot work or a full re-finish of the wall.

Loose or bubbled tape removed down to sound paper before anything new goes on.
New tape bedded tight, then three coats spread past the edge of the old ridge.
Dented or crooked corner bead pulled and reset straight.
High joints knocked flat and feathered so they stop catching light.
Additions and remodel walls taped and coated from bare board.
Reworked areas primed so the paint takes them the same as the rest of the wall.
Show us the seams that bother you, and we leave a free written estimate that says which joints get spot work and which walls get re-finished end to end. If cutting into a bad seam turns up wet board or a missing stud behind it, we stop and price that in writing before going further. The coats need drying time, so we come back on the days the estimate lists. On the last visit we stand at the spot where you first noticed the problem and look again together.
