Ceilings that read flat from the floor, and tall walls with no seam line halfway up. We tape and finish new drywall in Bloomingdale at whatever height the board goes.
Ceilings and tall walls are where finishing gets judged hardest, because you look at them from below and the light runs across them. We tape the ceiling joints first and treat the wall-to-ceiling corner as its own step, so that line stays straight. Each joint gets three coats, feathered and sanded, and the butt joints overhead are carried out extra wide since they have no taper to sink into. We set up planks or scaffolding where the room needs it, rather than reaching for a high seam from the top of a ladder.
Bloomingdale is on our regular route by Lake Street and Army Trail Road, with Bloomingdale Road and Gary Avenue taking us through town. If your Bloomingdale house has a vaulted family room or a two-story entry, new board up there means long seams overhead and angles where the slope meets the flat ceiling. Those off-angle inside corners are where cracks tend to start when the tape is thin. We bed them with paper tape in setting compound for strength, then finish them so the line between the two planes stays crisp.

Overhead seams get tape bedded fully and coated wide, since ceiling light shows a hump from across the room.
Inside corners where a slope meets a flat get paper tape in setting compound and a straight finish line.
We work from planks or scaffolding on tall walls so the high seams get the same care as the low ones.
Outside corners and window returns get bead set plumb and coated so the edges stay sharp.
Every screw head gets three coats along with the seams, so no dimples show under the ceiling paint.
Sanded between coats with the floor covered, and the room cleaned down before primer.
We measure the rooms, note the ceiling heights and write an estimate that includes the setup a tall wall needs. If you add a room or decide to have a ceiling skimmed partway through, that change gets written up and priced, and nothing happens until you approve it. We book visits around the drying, since a rushed coat overhead is the one that cracks later. The last visit ends with a walk through each room, looking up as well as across.
