Get the lower-level walls finished again after a sump failure or a burst pipe, with the wet board cut out and new board taped and painted to match. We handle drywall repair across Channahon once the space is dry.
Channahon is on our regular route for drywall repair, from a doorknob hole in a bedroom to a basement wall that took on water. We start by finding the edge of the damage and cutting back past it to board that is solid and dry. New board goes in, the joints get taped, and three coats are feathered out so the patch does not leave a ridge. After sanding, the area is primed and painted to match the rest of the wall.
We reach Channahon off I-55 and I-80, with Route 6 taking us across town between the Des Plaines and DuPage rivers in Will County. A finished lower level has one weak spot when water gets in: drywall soaks it up from the bottom edge like a wick. If yours got wet, the usual fix is to cut a straight line a foot or more above the highest wet mark and replace everything below it, along with any wet insulation in the cavity. We handle the drying and the rebuild, so the space gets dried out and checked with a moisture meter first. The new board is held up a little off the slab so it does not draw water from the floor next time.

Water-damaged board is cut out in a straight line above the wet mark, so the new piece goes in level and clean.
Replacement board sits slightly above the concrete so it does not wick up the next spill or seep.
Soaked insulation comes out with the board, and new insulation goes in before the wall is closed.
Doorknob holes, anchor holes and furniture dings get patched, coated and sanded flat.
Bent outside corners get new bead, and baseboard we pull for the repair goes back on.
Every repair is primed and painted, and we paint wall to wall when a patch would still show.
We start with a free look at the damage, in person or from a photo you text us. The estimate spells out what we cut out, what we replace and how it gets finished and painted. Hidden problems, like a rotted bottom plate behind the board, get priced in writing and wait for your yes, and if we find mold, we remediate it before we close anything up. Once the space is dry and the scope is approved, we book around the days we said and walk the finished walls with you.
