Shorewood walls put back solid, including the bottom of a lower-level wall that took on water. We replace what was ruined and finish it so the room is usable again.
Our crew repairs drywall that has been punched, cracked, popped or soaked. Damaged board is cut back to a sound edge, new drywall goes in on solid framing, and the joints get tape and three coats of compound feathered wide. We sand between coats, prime, and paint the repair or the full wall. Plastic sheeting and floor covering keep the dust where we are working.
Shorewood is on our regular route, reached off I-55 and Route 59 and along Route 52 and Black Road near the DuPage River. If your lower level took on water, the bottom of the drywall wicks it up and stays wet inside even when the face looks dry. That board gets cut out in a straight line above the damage, and then we dry the space with our own equipment. New board goes in held a little off the floor, with moisture-resistant board along the bottom where it makes sense.

Board cut out above the wet line and replaced once the space is dry.
Trim removed for the repair is reinstalled or replaced and caulked.
Cut back to solid board, patched, taped and finished in three coats.
Failed tape cut away, new tape bedded and finished flat.
Damaged spots overhead replaced and finished to match.
Every repair primed and painted, or the wall painted top to bottom.
We come look, confirm the area is dry if water was involved, and leave a free written estimate for each repair. If the open wall shows something else, like a damaged bottom plate, we price it in writing and you approve it before we touch it. Repairs start same-day when the schedule allows, and drying time between coats sets the rest of the visits. The job ends with a walkthrough so you can check every spot.
