Solid cabinets in a Minooka kitchen can get a durable painted finish and stay right where they are. We tell you up front whether your doors will take paint.
Minooka is on our regular route, and cabinet refinishing here follows the same process every time. We take off doors and drawer fronts, label each one and bag the hardware by cabinet. Then comes cleaning, degreasing, scuff-sanding and filling, so the new coat has something sound to grab. Bonding primer and a sprayed cabinet-grade enamel finish the work, and the boxes and face frames get painted in place.
We get to Minooka on I-80 and Route 6, then Ridge Road or McLindon Road, and the village crosses Grundy, Kendall and Will counties. Before we quote, we check what your doors are made of. If your cabinets are wood or painted wood, they take primer and enamel well. If they have a vinyl or thermofoil skin that is peeling at the edges, paint will not fix the peel, and we tell you that instead of selling you a job that fails.

We look at the doors, the edges and the face frames to confirm the surface will hold paint before we write the scope.
Doors and drawer fronts get numbered tags, so nothing ends up on the wrong opening.
Each cabinet's hinges and screws go in their own labeled bag.
Cleaning, degreasing and scuff-sanding come before any primer touches the wood.
Gouges, chips and unwanted holes are filled, then sanded so they disappear under the finish.
A cabinet-grade enamel goes over bonding primer, sprayed for a level surface with no roller texture.
First we come out for a free estimate and put the scope on paper, door by door. If a hidden problem turns up, like a soft sink base, we write up the fix and its price and wait for your sign-off. We tell you before we begin how many days the doors need to cure and which parts of the kitchen will be masked. At the end, we walk the room with you, open every drawer and fix any door that does not close right.
