Bolingbrook cabinets painted smooth or with the wood grain left showing, your call, with a finish built to take daily use.
When we refinish cabinets, we paint the doors, drawer fronts, frames and boxes you already have rather than replacing them. Each door is removed and numbered, the hardware is bagged, and every surface is degreased and scuff-sanded. A bonding primer goes on next, followed by a cabinet-grade enamel sprayed in thin, even coats. The frames and boxes get painted in place behind masking so the rest of the kitchen stays clean.
We cover Bolingbrook, reaching it on I-55, Route 53, Weber Road and Boughton Road. If your cabinets are oak or another open-grain wood, paint alone will still show the grain as a texture, and some people like that look while others want it gone. For a smooth painted face, we fill the grain before priming, which adds labor and time, and we write that choice into the estimate so you decide before we start. We talk through both looks at the estimate, so the call is yours before anything gets sanded.

On open-grain wood, we fill the grain before priming for a smooth face, or skip it if you like the texture showing.
Each piece gets a number tied to its opening so the install at the end goes back exactly as it was.
A degreaser cuts the film around the stove and the handles, which is where paint fails first when this step gets skipped.
We use a bonding primer made to grip finished wood, so the color coat does not peel at the edges.
The enamel goes on with a sprayer for an even surface on flat panels and in the corners of raised panels.
New knobs or pulls can go on during reassembly, with old holes filled if the new hardware spacing is different.
We look at the cabinets with you, talk through the grain question and the color, and leave a free written estimate. If something turns up after the doors are off, we write it up and you approve it before the crew does anything extra. You get the dates up front, including how long the doors need to cure before they go back on. When the doors are rehung, we walk the kitchen with you and adjust anything that does not close right.
Call or text and we will come look at your Bolingbrook cabinets, talk through the grain and the color, and write it all down.
