Doors that close without rubbing and trim that wipes clean, because we paint them the right way. We work in Channahon every week.
Trim and door painting covers the parts of a room that hands, shoes and vacuums hit hardest: baseboard, casing, crown, window sills, stair rails and the doors. We begin with the repairs paint cannot hide, filling nail holes and caulking the gaps where trim has pulled off the wall. Shiny paint gets sanded so the next coat can grip, and old oil paint gets a bonding primer. The topcoat is an enamel in your sheen, brushed or sprayed depending on the piece.
Channahon is off I-55 and I-80 for us, with Route 6 running through it and the Des Plaines and DuPage rivers and the I&M Canal close by. It is in Will County, bordering Minooka, Shorewood and Joliet. If an interior door in your house rubs at the top or will not latch, layers of old paint on the edges are often part of the problem. We take doors like that down, sand the edges back, paint them flat on stands so the enamel levels out, and rehang them once they have cured with the hinges and knobs back on.

Interior doors come off the hinges and get painted lying flat, which keeps runs off the panels and gives a smoother face.
Built-up paint on the door edges gets sanded down so the door swings and latches without rubbing.
Once the paint has cured, doors go back up with the hinges and knobs on and the latch checked.
Scuffs, dents and nail holes get filled and sanded, including window sills where plants and sun wear the paint.
Gaps between trim and drywall get a bead of paintable caulk so the edge reads straight.
A hard trim enamel in satin, semi-gloss or gloss, so fingerprints and scuffs wipe off.
We walk the house with you and count the doors, the trim runs and anything that needs repair before paint. You get a written estimate at no cost with the prep and the number of coats on it. Anything that changes after we start, like a split jamb we find with a door off, gets priced in writing and waits for your approval. We book around the days we said, and before we leave we open and close every door with you.
