Channahon is on our regular route for interior painting. We take on single rooms, a full floor or the entire inside of the house, covering walls, ceilings, trim and doors. The paint itself is the last step. First we patch, sand, caulk and spot prime, then we mask the edges and cover the floors, and only then does a roller come out. We use professional paint lines chosen for each room, not whatever is on sale.
Channahon is a Will County town off I-55 and I-80, with Route 6 running through and the Des Plaines and DuPage rivers, Channahon State Park and the I&M Canal close by. Northern Illinois summers get humid, and humid air slows how fast paint dries between coats. We go by the recoat time on the can and the feel of the wall, not the clock, because a second coat rolled over a soft first coat drags and leaves marks. On the muggiest days we run your air conditioning or a dehumidifier in the room we are working in, with your okay.
Mildew spots are cleaned off and stain blocked, and we use a finish made to stand up to shower steam.
Anchor holes, furniture dings and popped nails are filled and sanded until you cannot find them with your hand.
Water marks, marker and smoke stains get a stain-blocking primer so they do not bleed back through the new color.
Open seams where base and casing meet the wall are caulked so the paint line at the trim stays crisp.
One wall in a deeper color, cut in sharp at the corners and the ceiling so the edge stays straight.
We finish a room, clean it and put it back before moving to the next, so you always have a bedroom and a kitchen to use.
Our free estimate happens in your house, not over the phone, because the prep is what sets the cost. You get it in writing with each room listed, the repairs it needs, the products, the sheen and how many coats. Anything extra we find, like a crack that keeps reopening, gets priced on paper and approved by you before we fix it. On the last day we walk every room with you and touch up whatever you flag.
