Stair spindles, railings and built-ins get a sprayed enamel that reaches every turn and edge, without the drips and brush lines hand work leaves. We work in Hinsdale every week.
A staircase with dozens of spindles is one of the clearest cases for a sprayer. Brushing each one means catching drips on every curve, and the finish rarely matches from top to bottom. We mask the treads, walls and floors around the stairs, fill and sand the woodwork, prime where the old paint needs it, and spray the enamel in even coats. Built-in shelving and bookcases get the same treatment.
We reach Hinsdale off I-294 and along Ogden Avenue, York Road and County Line Road, with downtown and the Metra station in the middle of town. If your painted woodwork has been brushed over many times, the layers build up and soften the detail, so we sand back high spots and drips before priming. Where the old coats are oil-based, a bonding primer goes on first so the new enamel holds. If the handrail is stained and you want to keep it that way, we mask it and paint only the spindles.

Every spindle gets the same sprayed coat from the bottom step to the landing, with no drips at the turns.
Handrails and newel posts are sanded smooth and sprayed, or masked off if they stay stained.
Stair treads, the wall side and the floor at the bottom are covered before we start.
Bookcases, window seats and built-in cabinets get sanded, primed and sprayed inside and out.
Drips and buildup from earlier brush coats are sanded flat so the detail shows again.
Old oil-based coats get a bonding primer so the new enamel does not peel.
We look at the stairs and woodwork with you and leave a free written estimate covering each piece, the sanding, the primer, the enamel and the sheen. If sanding uncovers loose spindles or damaged wood, we price the repair in writing and do it only after you approve. We book around the days we said and tell you ahead of time when the stairs will be off limits. At the end we walk the stairs and built-ins with you before the masking leaves the house.
