Siding and trim in Hanover Park repainted to stand up to sun and weather, starting with scraping and priming the spots where old paint gave up.
Outside, our crew paints siding, trim, doors, porches and railings, and indoors we paint walls, ceilings, trim, doors and cabinets. The work that makes paint last happens before the color: scraping, sanding, caulking, priming and masking. Any rotted trim gets cut out and replaced so the new paint is not hiding a soft board. Indoors, furniture gets moved and covered and floors get protected before we start.
Hanover Park is on our regular route by Irving Park Road, Barrington Road and Lake Street, and the village sits in both Cook and DuPage counties. The south and west sides of a house take the most sun, and that is usually where paint chalks, cracks and peels first. We check those faces closely, scrape back anything loose, sand the edges and prime bare wood before the topcoats. North sides stay damper, so they get checked for mildew and soft trim before we price the job.

South and west walls get scraped back to sound paint, sanded at the edges and primed wherever wood shows.
Damp, shaded walls get washed of mildew and dried before any primer or paint touches them.
Soft fascia, sills and corner boards get replaced with new primed wood before the finish coats.
Doors get cleaned, sanded, primed where bare and coated in a finish built for sun exposure.
Railings, posts and steps get scraped and painted with a coating meant for weather and foot traffic.
Walls, ceilings, trim and cabinets get patched, primed and painted with furniture covered and floors protected.
We walk the outside of the house, side by side, and the rooms you want done, then write an estimate listing each surface, its prep, the products and the coats. You approve it before anything goes on the calendar. Exterior days are booked spring to fall when the forecast is dry and above 50 degrees. If we find damage that is not on the estimate, it gets priced in writing for your OK, and we finish with a walkthrough.
