Flooring Installation in Montgomery

Get a Montgomery bathroom floor in new tile or vinyl, with the toilet pulled, the flange set to the new height and everything reconnected.

Montgomery flooring, bathrooms included

We lay luxury vinyl plank, laminate, engineered hardwood and tile, and we set tile in baths, entries and laundry rooms. Each product carries a flatness spec, and we bring the subfloor to it by leveling, patching or sanding before installation. We also check concrete for moisture before a floating floor goes over it. Base, shoe and transitions are part of every job.

Montgomery is on our regular route, reached on Route 30, Route 31 and Orchard Road along the Fox River, in Kane and Kendall counties. In a bathroom, the floor job is really a toilet and vanity job too. The toilet has to come up so the floor runs underneath, and the flange has to sit at the right height on the new floor or the seal will leak. We pull the toilet, set the floor, adjust or extend the flange, and reset the toilet on a new seal, then reconnect the supply line and check it for leaks.

What a Montgomery floor job covers

Toilet pulled and reset

The toilet comes up, the floor goes under, and it goes back down on a new seal.

Flange set to the new floor

We adjust or extend the flange so it sits at the right height on the new floor.

Clean work at the vanity

We cut the floor neatly around the vanity or pull it so the floor runs beneath, whichever the vanity allows.

Tile on a stiff base

Bathroom tile goes on a backer over a subfloor checked for flex.

Leak check on reconnect

Supply lines get reconnected and checked before we leave.

Threshold to the hall

A transition at the door sized to the height of the new bath floor.

How a Montgomery flooring job runs

On a free visit we measure, look at the toilet flange and the vanity, and check the subfloor around the tub and toilet, where water damage usually starts. The written estimate covers the floor, the toilet reset and the trim. If we lift the old floor and the subfloor is soft from an old leak, you get a written price for the repair and decide before we go ahead. We tell you which day the bathroom will be out of use, keep to it, and finish with a walkthrough and a test flush.

FAQ

Flooring Installation in Montgomery: questions

How long will my bathroom be out of use?
A bathroom floor in vinyl is usually one day. Tile runs two to three, since it has to set before grout and the grout has to cure before the toilet goes back. We give you the days in writing.
Do you have to remove the toilet?
Yes. Running the floor under the toilet is the only way to get a clean edge and a proper seal at the flange. We pull it, reset it on a new seal and check it for leaks.
Do I need a permit for a bathroom floor in Montgomery?
A floor alone usually does not need one. If the job turns into moving plumbing and the village of Montgomery requires a permit for that, we pull it.
Which other towns do you serve for flooring?
We also install floors in Aurora, Oswego and Plainfield.
How do I get an estimate?
Call or text (815) 585-1750 with a photo of the bathroom floor. We will come measure and look at the subfloor.
