Repairs that keep a fire-rated wall fire-rated, and walls that look finished again when we leave. We fix drywall in Woodridge whether you are in a townhome or a single-family house.
Woodridge is on our regular route for drywall repair: holes, cracks, popped fasteners, crushed corners, and ceilings damaged by a leak from above. We cut out the damaged section back to sound board, fasten in new, tape the joints and feather three coats of compound. After sanding with the area closed off, we prime and paint to match. The board on the patch matches the type and thickness already in the wall, and that matters more on some walls than others.
We get to Woodridge on I-355 and I-55, with 75th Street, Route 53 and Woodridge Drive taking us through DuPage County to your door. If you live in a townhome, the wall you share with your neighbor and the wall between the garage and the house are fire separations, built with fire-rated board. A patch on one of those walls has to go back with the same rated board and taped joints, not a scrap of whatever was handy. Some associations also want to know when a contractor is working on a shared wall, so check with yours before we start, and we will provide a certificate of insurance if they ask for one.

Shared walls and garage walls get patched with matching fire-rated board and fully taped joints.
Once a leak from the unit or bathroom above is fixed, we cut out the stained or sagging board and replace it.
Doorknob holes, anchor holes and furniture damage get a backed patch or new board and three coats.
Popped fasteners are reset, and a new screw goes in beside each one before coating.
Dents from car doors, bikes and tools on the garage side get repaired with the right board for that wall.
Repairs are primed and painted to match, or the whole wall is painted when a patch would show.
We start with a free visit where we look at the damage and check what kind of board the wall needs. Your written estimate names the board, the finish and the paint for each repair, and if your association asks for paperwork, the certificate of insurance goes to them before the start date. Anything we uncover behind the board, like a wet bottom plate, is priced in writing and done only after you approve it. We book around the days we said and close out the job with a walkthrough.
