Get your Palatine cabinets painted in the right order with any new counters or backsplash, so the fresh finish does not get nicked by the next trade. You see the sequence and the full scope in writing first.
We refinish cabinets by painting the ones you have, in the kitchen, bath or a built-in, instead of buying new boxes. Our crew removes the doors and drawer fronts, labels each one, and bags the hinges and pulls by opening. Surfaces are cleaned with a degreaser, scuff-sanded and filled, then primed with a bonding primer. The topcoat is a cabinet-grade enamel sprayed for an even finish, and the frames are painted in place with the room masked.
Palatine is on our regular route up Route 53, and Rand Road, Northwest Highway and Dundee Road get us to your street, whether you are near downtown and the Metra station or over by Harper College. If you are changing counters or adding a tile backsplash along with the paint, the order matters. Counters set after painting can scrape the new enamel on the frames, and grout haze is hard to clean off a fresh finish, so we plan the paint around those trades. We write the sequence into the estimate so you know which day is for what.

Painting is scheduled around new counters or backsplash so the fresh enamel does not get damaged.
Each piece comes off with a label, and hardware is bagged by opening.
Cooking film and old sheen come off so the primer bonds.
Edges and frames get filled and sanded flat before primer.
A bonding primer goes on first, then cabinet-grade enamel in even sprayed coats.
Face frames and end panels get painted where they stand, with the room covered.
We see the kitchen, ask what else is changing and write an estimate that lists the cabinet work and the order it fits with anything else. If a counter date moves or you add a pantry once we start, we put the change in writing and wait for your approval. We tell you how many days the kitchen will be partly out of use and book around the days we said. At the end, we open every door and drawer with you and fix anything that needs it.
Changing counters or tile too? Call or text (815) 585-1750, and we will fit the cabinet painting into the right spot in that schedule, in writing.
