Turn a Naperville primary bath with an unused soaking tub into a shower you will actually step into every morning. Permits, plumbing, wiring and tile all stay with one crew.
Before anything comes out, we figure out what the bathroom has to do: one person or two getting ready at once, a tub for kids or none at all, storage at the sink. From there we lay out the shower, the vanity and the lighting, and we rough in the plumbing and electrical to match. Every shower gets a continuous waterproofing membrane on the walls and the pan, the pan is sloped to the drain, and we water test it before the tile is set. The fan goes to the outside, the receptacles get GFCI protection, and we finish the drywall, trim and paint before we leave.
We cover Naperville on both sides of the DuPage River, reaching it on I-88, Route 59, Ogden Avenue and 75th Street. The city runs across DuPage and Will counties, but the permit comes from the City of Naperville either way, and we pull it where the work calls for one. If your primary bath has a drop-in tub on a tiled deck next to a separate stall shower, that layout often gives up enough floor for one larger walk-in shower. The tub drain and the shower drain usually sit in different spots, so we work out where the new drain lands and how it ties in before we put a price on it.

Tub decks and old stalls come out, and one shower sized to the space goes in, with a bench or niche if you want one.
The walls and pan are wrapped in a continuous waterproofing membrane, sloped to the drain and tested with standing water.
Two sinks go in where the room allows, with supply and drain lines set for each one.
We add vanity lights, a shower light rated for wet locations and GFCI protection on the receptacles.
An exhaust fan sized for the room is ducted out through the roof or a wall.
Base, casing and door trim are reinstalled or replaced, and the walls and ceiling are painted.
The estimate is free and on site, and the written scope lists the layout, the fixtures, the tile areas and each trade in the job. We order the long-lead items first and give you a start date once they arrive. If opening a wall uncovers something nobody could see, like a cracked drain or old water damage, you get a written price for the fix and decide before we do it. On the last day we run the shower, check every drain for leaks and go through the room with you.
