Trim and door painting is careful, slow work, and that is how we run it. We paint crown, baseboard, door and window casing, stair rails and spindles, and doors inside and out. The prep is the same on every piece: holes filled, joints caulked, gloss sanded off, and a bonding primer over any old oil paint. Then comes the enamel in your sheen, with every edge cut by hand.

If your rooms have crown molding, the line where it meets the ceiling is the hardest one to paint well, and it is the one people notice. We caulk the gap at the ceiling, let it set, then brush the crown and cut it freehand against the ceiling color so the edge stays straight instead of wavy from tape bleed. The same care goes into the miters at the corners, which get filled and sanded before the color goes on.
