Mold Remediation in Schaumburg

24/7, call or text (815) 585-1750. When mold shows up behind tile or drywall in your Schaumburg home, we take it out behind containment, fix the reason it grew, and rebuild the wall properly.

Schaumburg mold remediation, done in the right order

Order matters on a mold job. Containment goes up first, plastic sheeting with a zipper door, and a negative air machine draws air into the work area so dust does not drift into the rest of the house. HEPA air scrubbers then run through every step that follows. The affected tile, backer, drywall and insulation come out and get bagged in place, and the studs and hard surfaces are HEPA vacuumed, cleaned and treated with an antimicrobial. Fixing the water and rebuilding come last, never first.

Schaumburg is on our regular route, reached on I-90, I-290 and Route 53, and we work across town from Golf Road to Meacham Road on both the Cook and DuPage sides. If the grout in your Schaumburg shower keeps going dark or a tile sounds hollow when you tap it, water may be getting behind the tile and into the wall. A shower built without a real waterproofing membrane behind the tile lets that happen slowly. We tear out the affected wall, remediate the cavity, and rebuild the shower with a proper membrane so the wall stays dry behind the tile.

Containment closes the bathroom off from the hall and bedroom while we tear out.

A negative air machine moves air into the work area, and HEPA scrubbers clean it.

Clearance first

We recommend an independent tester confirm the area before the new wall goes up.

Estimate, approval and scheduling in Schaumburg

We give you a free estimate in writing, with remediation and the bathroom rebuild listed as separate parts and equipment daily rates spelled out. If the subfloor or framing turns out worse once the tile is off, we write up that repair and get your approval before doing it. Tile and fixtures get picked before the rebuild starts, so the schedule holds once it begins. A walkthrough of the finished bathroom closes out the job.

FAQ

Mold Remediation in Schaumburg: questions

Do you test for mold?
We do not. We recommend an independent tester check the area after we clean it and before the new shower goes in. Clearance should come from someone other than the company that did the removal.
Can you just regrout and seal it?
If water is already behind the tile and mold is in the wall, new grout covers the symptom and leaves the cause. We would rather open it, show you what is there, and fix it once.
How long will I be without the shower?
That depends on what the wall looks like once it is open and how much of the shower has to be rebuilt. The written estimate shows the steps, and we book around the days we said.
Does Schaumburg require a permit?
Plumbing and electrical work in a bathroom rebuild can need one. Where Schaumburg requires a permit, we pull it and schedule the inspections.
Do you cover towns near Schaumburg?
Yes. Hoffman Estates, Palatine, Roselle and Hanover Park are on our route. Text (815) 585-1750 from any of them.
