Call or text (815) 585-1750, any day and any hour. We take mold out of Arlington Heights homes inside sealed containment, fix the moisture behind it, and rebuild walls to match the rest of the room.
Containment is the part of mold work you cannot see in the finished room, and it does the most to keep the rest of your house clean while we work. We seal the area with plastic sheeting and a zippered door, run a negative air machine so the air flows in and out a window, and filter it with HEPA scrubbers. Then the affected material comes out and gets bagged inside the work area. The surfaces that stay are HEPA vacuumed, cleaned and treated with an antimicrobial, and we fix the moisture problem before we rebuild.
We cover Arlington Heights up Route 53, from Arlington Heights Road and Northwest Highway to the blocks around downtown and the Metra station. Where an older Arlington Heights house still has plaster walls, removing a moldy section makes heavier, grittier dust than drywall does, and the containment has to be tight. We cut back to sound plaster or to the framing, clean and treat the cavity, and rebuild with drywall skim coated to sit flush with the plaster around it. The goal is a finished wall that does not show where the old one ended.

Sheeting sealed at the floor, walls and ceiling, with a zippered door, because plaster dust travels.
Air drawn into the work area and exhausted out a window during removal.
They filter the contained air until the last surface is cleaned.
Affected plaster, lath, drywall and insulation cut out and bagged.
Studs and the cut edges HEPA vacuumed, cleaned and treated with an antimicrobial.
Drywall skim coated flush to the old plaster and painted, after an independent tester confirms the area.
We look at the wall, figure out where the moisture comes from, and write a free estimate before anything starts. It lists containment, removal, cleaning, the moisture fix and the rebuild, and the daily rate for each machine. If the plaster comes off and shows more damage behind it, we price that in writing and wait for your approval. When the rebuilt wall is painted, we walk it with you.
