We repaint Naperville houses with the scraping and priming done right, so the new coat bonds to sound paint and bare wood instead of loose layers. Siding, trim, porches and doors go on one written estimate.
A good exterior paint job starts with getting the failing paint off the house. We wash every wall, scrape until we hit paint that is stuck tight, then sand the ridges so the old edges do not show through the new coat. Bare wood gets primer, open joints get new caulk, and any board that has gone soft is replaced. Only then do the finish coats go on, by brush and roller, with two-story walls reached from ladders set for the height.
We cover Naperville on both the DuPage County and Will County sides, coming in off I-88, Route 59, Ogden Avenue and 75th Street. If your house has wood clapboard with years of paint built up, the scraping and sanding take longer than the painting, and the estimate says so up front. A house under big trees, near the DuPage River or anywhere shade lingers tends to grow mildew on the north side, and that has to be killed and washed off before primer goes on. We plan each side of the house on its own terms instead of treating all four walls the same.

Loose and lifting paint comes off until the scraper stops catching, and the edges are sanded so they disappear under the new coat.
Shaded walls get a wash that kills the growth instead of just moving it around, so it does not come back up through the paint.
Wood lap siding, fiber cement and shingle siding are painted by brush and roller, with the bottom edge of each board coated.
Porch ceilings, columns, rails and spindles are prepped and painted along with the body of the house.
Shutters are cleaned and painted, and front and side doors get a finish made for hands and weather.
Rotted sills, trim and siding boards are replaced and primed, so the new paint sits on new wood instead of rot.
The estimate is free and written on site, with every surface listed along with its prep, the product and the number of coats. You approve that scope before we set a start date. Anything we uncover once scraping starts, like a rotted sill hiding under old paint, gets priced in writing and waits for your OK. We paint on dry days above 50 degrees, move the calendar around the weather instead of rushing the work, and finish with a walkthrough of every side.
