Bathroom ceilings and walls rebuilt with board made for damp rooms, so the tape and paint have a sound surface to hold to. We repair drywall in Willowbrook homes, in the bath and every other room.
Willowbrook is on our regular route for drywall repair: holes, cracks, popped fasteners, dented corners, lifted tape and leak damage. We cut each repair back to sound board, patch with new board or a backed patch, tape it, and feather three coats wide. After sanding with the area closed off, we prime and paint to match. Where tape has bubbled or peeled, we cut it out and re-tape the joint rather than painting over the bubble.
We reach Willowbrook on I-55 and Route 83, with 63rd Street getting us across town in DuPage County. Bathrooms are where drywall takes the most steam, and if your bath fan does not vent outside or does not run long enough, moisture gets into the joints. That shows up as tape lifting at the ceiling seams, paint peeling over the tub, and soft spots on the painted wall near the shower. We replace the damaged board with moisture-resistant board, finish it, and seal it with a bathroom-grade primer and paint. If the fan is the cause, we tell you, because a repair by itself will not hold up against the same steam.

Loose tape is cut out, and the joint is re-taped and finished so the paint has something solid under it.
Bathroom and laundry room repairs use board made for damp rooms.
Painted board that has gone soft from water is cut back to dry, solid material and replaced.
Peeling paint is scraped back, the surface is sealed with primer, and the ceiling is repainted.
Doorknob holes, anchor holes and nail pops elsewhere in the house get patched and finished on the same job.
We check whether your bath fan vents outside and tell you plainly if it is part of the problem.
We look at the damage on a free visit and check the bath fan and the source of the moisture while we are there. The written estimate lists the board we will replace, the primer and paint, and any fan work if you want us to handle it. If we find mold on the back of the board, we stop there and price the remediation and the rebuild in writing for your approval. Once you sign off, we book around the days we said and walk the room with you at the end.
