Close up the hole the plumber or electrician left and get back a wall you can paint and stop thinking about. We repair drywall in Westmont after the other trades are done.
We work in Westmont every week on drywall repair: access holes, doorknob holes, cracks, popped screws, damaged corners and ceilings hurt by a leak. Each repair starts at solid board, so we square up ragged edges and add wood backing where a hole is too wide to bridge. New board is screwed in, taped, and covered in three coats of compound feathered wide. Then we sand, prime and paint the patch to match the wall.
We get to Westmont on Ogden Avenue and Route 83, with Cass Avenue and 55th Street covering the rest of town in DuPage County. Plumbers, electricians and cable installers are there to fix what is behind the wall, not the wall itself, so their repair often ends with a rough square cut in a hallway or a ceiling. The same goes for a TV mount or a heavy shelf that comes down and leaves a row of torn anchor holes. If the opening has a valve or a junction box behind it that might need service again, we can set an access panel instead of closing it for good. Otherwise we fit new board, finish it, and paint it so the hole does not show.

Openings cut by other trades get squared, backed with wood, filled with new board and finished.
Torn anchor holes and stripped mounting spots are cut back, patched and coated flat.
Where a valve or junction may need service again, we set a removable panel instead of closing the wall.
Ceiling openings from plumbing repairs get new board, with texture matched where there is texture.
Cracked seams get re-taped, and popped fasteners get reset before coating.
Patches are primed and painted, and we paint the full wall when the old paint has faded.
Tell us what the other trade fixed and text a photo of the opening, and we will give you a read from the photo, then set up a free visit to put the price in writing. That estimate covers backing, board, finish and paint. If we open further and find a problem, like a pipe still dripping, we stop, tell you, and do not continue until the fix is approved in writing. After that, we book around the days we said and end with a walkthrough of the finished wall.
Send a picture of the opening to (815) 585-1750, by call or text. You will hear back on backing, board and paint, and get the full price on paper before we start.
