New walls that look like they were always there, and patches you cannot find after paint. Plainfield is on our regular route for drywall and framing.
We frame new partition walls, closets and bulkheads, then hang, tape and finish the drywall that covers them. The same crew handles ceiling repairs after a leak, patches on flat walls and textured ceilings, and blocking behind the wall for cabinets, grab bars or a mounted TV. Before the first sheet goes up, we put plastic at the doorways and cover the floors. You get a written estimate for the whole job, and the room gets a real clean-up before any paint goes on.
Plainfield is on our regular route, reached by Route 59, Route 126 and 127th Street, with I-55 on the east side. A lot of framing work happens in basements, because an unfinished lower level is where the open wall space is. Walls on a slab get a treated bottom plate so the wood touching concrete can handle moisture, and we keep the framing clear of the sump so the pump stays reachable. Townhomes and single-family houses sit side by side in Plainfield, and on a townhome we check whether a shared wall needs fire-rated board before we price it.

We frame new walls to split a large room, add a den or close in a loft, with a door opening sized for the door you pick.
Bottom plates are pressure-treated where they meet concrete, and we leave access to the sump, the cleanouts and the main shutoff.
New closets get headers over the door, and bulkheads box in ductwork or pipes so the ceiling reads clean.
We hang the board, tape and mud every seam, and sand it to a finish that is ready for primer.
Stained or sagging ceiling sections come out and get replaced, and wall patches are feathered so they vanish under paint.
Before the drywall closes, we add solid blocking where cabinets, grab bars, shelving or a TV mount will hang.
We look at the room, measure, and give you a written scope that lists every wall, ceiling and patch. Once you approve it, we put the job on the calendar and book around the days we said. If we open a wall and find rot, bad wiring or a problem that was not in the scope, we stop, price it in writing and wait for your approval. On the last day we walk the room with you under good light so you can check the finish before paint.
