Turn one big room into two in your Clarendon Hills home, with a new wall framed, finished and ready for paint, and your floors covered the whole time.
A lot of framing work is a single wall that changes how a house works: a home office carved from a family room, a nursery split off a large bedroom, a closet added where there was none. We lay the wall out with you, frame it plumb, add blocking where shelves or a desk will hang, and size the door opening to the door you picked. Then the board goes up, the seams get tape and three coats of compound, and the wall is sanded smooth for paint. The whole scope is written down and priced before we start.
We cover Clarendon Hills from Ogden Avenue, Route 83 and 55th Street, and the streets around the Metra station are part of the same route. It is a DuPage County village that sits between Hinsdale and Westmont. When a new wall goes into an existing room, the work is in the details: finding the ceiling joists so the top plate fastens solid, keeping the heat register on the right side of the line, and deciding whether the new room needs its own outlet and light. If it does, that wiring is part of the same job and the same permit.

We frame the wall to the joists above, set it square to the room and finish both sides.
The rough opening is framed to the door you chose, with a header and jack studs so the door hangs true.
Where an office or bedroom needs quiet, we fill the cavity with sound batts before the board goes up.
Boxes for switches, outlets and a ceiling light go in at framing, wired and inspected before we close the wall.
We frame the closet, hang the board, and build in blocking for the rod and shelf so the hardware has something to bite.
Seams and corners get tape and three coats of compound, sanded with a vacuum sander where the room allows.
We meet in the room, mark where the wall will run and talk through the door, the outlets and any heat or return air in the way. The written estimate covers the framing, electrical, board and finish, and any change you want after that is priced in writing before we do it. Plastic goes up at the doorway, floors get covered, and the job is booked around the days we said, with drying time between coats built in. We walk the finished wall with you and clean up before we leave.
