New trim from a remodel and the old trim beside it end up looking like they went in on the same day. We cover Downers Grove from Main Street out to the tollways.
Our crew handles trim and doors as a job of their own, not a last coat squeezed in after the walls. That list includes baseboard, door and window casing, crown, stair rails and spindles, and doors inside and out. Prep takes most of the time: filling nail holes, caulking gaps and sanding any shine. A bonding primer goes on wherever the old paint is oil-based, and the finish is an enamel in the sheen you choose.
Downers Grove is on our regular route by I-88, I-355, Ogden Avenue and Butterfield Road, and the village runs through DuPage County next to Westmont, Lisle and Woodridge, with the Metra station downtown. If part of your house has new primed trim from a remodel next to older painted trim, the two never look like they belong together until they get the same paint. We fill and caulk both, sand the old trim so it takes paint like the new pieces do, and finish both in one enamel and one sheen. That way a new door casing and the old baseboard beside it read as one house.

Everything is finished in the enamel and sheen you pick, so no room looks patched together.
We visit, look at both the new and the old trim, and hand you a free estimate in writing. It names each room, each door and the prep each one needs. When we find something that was not in the plan, a split board or a door that will not latch, the price for fixing it comes to you in writing for approval. We book around the days we said and look over every room with you at the end.
