An open main floor gets an even coat across walls and ceilings, while your cabinets, counters and appliances sit sealed under plastic until we are done. Westmont is on our regular route.
Masking is most of a spray job, and on an open main floor it can take nearly the whole first day. Cabinets, countertops, appliances, windows, floors, outlets and light fixtures all get covered and taped so nothing but the wall and ceiling takes paint. Once that is done, the sprayer lays down an even coat across long open walls without the lap marks a roller can leave. Walls get back-rolled where it helps, and the masking comes off only after the paint has set.
We reach Westmont along Ogden Avenue and Route 83, with Cass Avenue and 55th Street taking us across town near the Metra station. If your main floor runs kitchen to family room with few walls in between, there is a lot of surface to paint and a lot of finished work to protect. We plan the masking room by room so you know which spaces are off limits each day. If a room is full of furniture that cannot leave, a roller can be the better tool, and we tell you that at the estimate.

Cabinet faces, countertops and the backsplash are covered in plastic and taped at every edge.
The range, fridge, hood and dishwasher get covered so no mist settles on them.
Floors are covered from wall to wall and taped at the baseboard.
Cover plates come off, and lights, switches and vents are masked before spraying.
Open walls and ceilings get one continuous wet coat, then a roller pass where it improves the finish.
Tape comes off once the paint sets, so edges stay clean and nothing peels with it.
We walk the main floor with you and leave a free written estimate that lists each wall and ceiling, what gets masked, the product and the coats. If you want to add a hallway or stairwell once you see the plan, we price it in writing and wait for your approval. We book around the days we said and tell you ahead which rooms will be closed off each day. After the masking is down, we walk the floor with you and fix anything you point out.
Send a few photos of your main floor to (815) 585-1750. We will come see it and write up the masking, the coats and the days.
