Paint Spraying in Aurora

Your Aurora paint job gets the method that fits each room, sprayed where it gives a better finish and rolled where spraying would only add masking.

When spraying makes sense in Aurora

Not every paint job should be sprayed, and we say so when one should not. A sprayer wins on empty rooms, ceilings, new drywall, doors, trim and long runs of siding or fence. It loses on a furnished room that needs only walls, or a repaint of one wall, because masking everything would take longer than painting it by hand. When we do spray, we mask first, back-roll the walls and keep overspray where it belongs.

We cover Aurora on both sides of the Fox River, reached on I-88, Route 59, Orchard Road and Eola Road. The city runs into Kane, DuPage, Will and Kendall counties, but the call on spray versus roll comes down to the house in front of us, not the county line. If your Aurora house is vacant between owners or tenants, spraying the whole interior usually gets the best result for the time. If you are living there with furniture in every room, we may spray the ceilings and doors and roll the walls, and the estimate shows that split.

What we spray, and what we roll, in Aurora

Vacant interiors

Empty homes are sprayed top to bottom, ceilings first, with walls back-rolled.

Ceilings in lived-in homes

Ceilings can be sprayed with furniture wrapped and pulled to the center, even when the walls are rolled.

Doors and trim

Doors and trim are sprayed in enamel, either in place with masking or taken down and sprayed flat.

Exteriors on calm days

Siding, soffit and trim are sprayed only when the wind allows, with windows, roofs and cars covered.

Rolled where it fits

Walls in furnished rooms and single-wall repaints are cut in and rolled, with the same prep.

Prep either way

Holes are patched, cracks caulked and glossy spots sanded before any coat, sprayed or rolled.

How an Aurora estimate turns into a schedule

We walk the house and write a free estimate that says, surface by surface, which parts get sprayed and which get rolled. You approve that written scope before we schedule. If something changes, like adding a room or finding a wall that needs repair, the change is written up and priced and you approve it first. We keep to the dates we gave you, and the job ends with a walkthrough where you point out anything that needs touching up.

  • Free estimate that says spray or roll
  • Masking before every sprayed surface
  • Patching and sanding before paint
  • Exteriors sprayed on calm days only

FAQ

Paint Spraying in Aurora: questions

Why wouldn't you spray my whole house?
If rooms are full of furniture and only the walls need paint, masking for a sprayer can take longer than rolling. We would rather tell you that than charge you for masking that does not improve the finish.
Do I need a permit to paint in Aurora?
Painting does not usually need a permit from the City of Aurora. If exterior work grows into siding replacement or porch repairs, we find out what the city requires and pull it.
How long does a vacant-house spray job take?
It depends on the size and how much patching the walls need, and the estimate gives you a day count. A vacant house moves faster than a lived-in one because there is less to move and mask.
What towns near Aurora do you cover?
We also paint and spray in Montgomery, Oswego, Naperville and Warrenville.
How do I get an estimate?
Call or text (815) 585-1750 and tell us whether the house is empty or lived in. We will set up a time to walk it.
