Seams that show through the paint, tape that bubbled, corners that cracked: we re-finish bad drywall work in Glendale Heights so the walls finally look done.
Not every taping job comes out right. A wall can show ridges along every seam, tape that bubbled or lifted, butt joints that bulge, or inside corners that cracked within a season. We cut out tape that has let go, re-bed it, and then build the seams back up with three coats feathered wide and sanded between each. Where the whole wall is rough, a skim coat over the entire surface brings it back to one plane.
Glendale Heights is on our regular route, along North Avenue, Army Trail Road, Bloomingdale Road and Glen Ellyn Road, and we cover the DuPage County towns around it from Carol Stream to Addison. If you bought a house with a finished basement or a remodeled room that someone else taped, problems like these often show up after the first coat of paint or the first winter. We find the cause first, whether it is tape bedded dry, mesh used with the wrong compound or seams sanded through, so the fix holds instead of repeating the mistake. Then we prime and leave the walls ready for paint.

Tape that lifted or blistered cut away and re-bedded in fresh compound.
High seams sanded down and re-coated wider so they stop casting a shadow.
End joints feathered out across a wider area until the bump is gone.
Inside corners opened, re-taped with paper and finished straight.
A skim coat over a whole wall when spot fixes would leave it patchy.
Re-finished areas primed so the new paint goes on even.
We come out, look at the seams in good light and leave a free written estimate that lists each wall and whether it gets spot repairs or a full skim. If we open a seam and find a bigger problem, like loose board or moisture behind it, we stop, price the fix in writing and wait for your approval. Each coat dries before the next, so the job runs across a few visits, and we book around the days we said. We finish with a walkthrough of every wall under a work light.
