Finish your La Grange basement after the drains and the sewer line are protected, so a storm does not undo the work. La Grange is on our regular route.
Every finish we build starts with the question of where water could come from. We check the walls and slab, test the sump, and look at the floor drain and sewer connection, and any drainage or sump work gets done before anything is covered. Then our crew frames on treated bottom plates with clearances for the mechanicals, insulates, and roughs in electrical and any bath or wet bar plumbing. Once the inspections pass, we hang drywall, build ceilings, lay floors, install doors and trim, and paint.
We reach La Grange off I-294 and Ogden Avenue, along La Grange Road and 47th Street, from downtown and the Metra station out through the neighborhoods, in Cook County. Water can reach a basement from the sewer side, not only through a wall. If your floor drain ties into the sewer and has ever backed up in a heavy storm, a backflow valve or an overhead sewer setup belongs in the plan before the finish goes in. We also test the slab before picking a floor, because flooring that traps moisture against concrete can fail even in a dry basement.

We test for moisture, run the sump and fix drainage before framing.
We look at how the floor drain ties in and plan a backflow valve or overhead sewer work if the house needs it.
Pressure-treated bottom plates sit on the concrete, with working space left at the mechanicals.
We insulate walls and rim joists and run circuits, outlets and lighting for inspection.
Drain, vent and supply lines go in and get inspected before the walls close.
We pick flooring suited to a tested slab, then finish drywall, ceilings, doors, trim and paint.
You get a free visit and a written estimate that lists the drain and sewer work separately from the finish. If something unexpected turns up, like a cracked drain line under the floor, we write up the fix with its price and wait for you to approve it. We pull the permit through the village, set the inspections and book the crew around them. A final walk with you covers every room, and we fix whatever you flag.
Call or text (815) 585-1750 and we will set up a free estimate at the house. We will look at the drains first and the rooms second.
